Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control cable 27 inch televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

I actually was transferred to the Hamilton as the Comfort Inn was not yet open for the season. The hotel was good, but my stay was rather boring as of course nothing was open in the city and thru no fault of the hotel the internet and related communications were down. Since I had arrived early to spend some time doing some of these things, I was disappointed.

I rate my stay at your Hotel a good, for one reason. The Television Channels. I could only have 5 channels. Someone before I had stayed in my room, had set my television, so that I could only view only 5 channels, and so, after 30 minutes of figuring out how the Television worked, I had found out how to turn on the other 50 channels. Other than that, it was a pleasure to stay at your Hotel, it was very neat and clean, and I'd do it again. Thank you for letting me spend a night with you, Jeffrey D. Ballard.

Our overall stay was good. The people working at the front desk were outstanding! We had my elderly parents with us and had requested a first floor room. The request did not get written down, but the ladies did all they could to accomodate us and they did! I am VERY grateful for that! The room was very clean. The only negative is the breakfast area. It is WAY TOO SMALL to accomodate that size of a hotel. I would highly suggest making an actual room for breakfast as opposed to just having the breakfast room in a small "hallway"! I would have given this establishment an outstanding rating had it not been for the breakfast area!

The woman who checked us in made sure that I had a room on the 1st floor and did not have to walk up the stairs (I use a cane). The closeness to the beach was a wonderful perk according to my grandchildren who were with me.

We did not get the room that we were expecting, nor did they offer to correct the problem and there was no microwave in room as advertised, but the room that we did have was nice and clean. Breakfast area was extremely small-had to take our food to the room. The hotel is in a great location and we did enjoy our stay very much. We will stay here again when we return in the future.

Hard to rate as outstanding as we were only there one night. Staff seemed friendly, room was very nice. Breakfast room too small and crowded so we went to a restaurant. The view from our balcony of the hotel's beach and lake Michigan was wonderful. The staff were very helpful answering all our questions. The room was lovely, a good size and clean. We will definitely choose the same hotel for our next stay in Mackinaw City. Only suggestion for improvement: while the breakfast was wonderful, some boxes for taking breakfast to one's balcony would be a nice addition, especially since the breakfast room is a little small.

Nice room! Kids enjoyed the pool in the evening. Good location. We walked to the furthest Mackinaw Island fairy (Shepplers) and it was a short 10 minute walk. Breakfast bar was lacking in space to move around (but don't they all), and lack of healthy choices. However, I value the room cleanliness and quietness enough to rate "Outstanding". We would stay there again.

We stayed in a beachfront room and the view was amazing! The room was clean and very spacious. The free breakfast was also very good. Waking up early and hitting the breakfast room early was the key. We sat on our porch over looking the beach while we ate our breakfast. We also had free passes to an indoor waterpark at another hotel which was less than five minutes walking, which are 2 children loved. All in all, it was a great visit and look forward to visiting again soon. The hotel was right in the middle of everything and within walking distance to it all. We loved it!!

Loved the hotel especially the balcony. My husband said the bed wasn't comfortable but everything else was great. Breakfast was also a surprise with hot eggs and sausage.

Hotel and room were nice. Good amenities including pool, in room fridge and breakfast. Location was close to the water with a nice beach and within walking distance of downtown. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would be able to rate as outstanding if the beds weren't saggy and uncomfortable.

Room was good and view excellent. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast area was crowded. It was fortunate that the weather was nice enough to eat outside - not enough room for all of us inside. Elevator was hard to find (in next hotel).

Our stay was better than expected. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like valued guests. We were given a room upgrade for one night of our stay which was above and beyond. The hotel beach was fantastic and not too crowded and the free breakfast by the beach was very pleasant. The hotel was a close walk to downtown Mackinaw City and the ferry lines. All in all it was a great stay and we will do it again.

The hotel offered only a modest hot free breakfast. Each night, children were running up and down the exterior walkways, knocking on doors, and running off. This continued each night until at least 11 pm. Hotel was located in a beautiful location. Outdoor swimming was excellent.

We stayed on the 3rd floor lakeside view. It was a bit ackward to get up and down the stairs and use the elevator (from the Hampton Inn) Otherwise the stay was wonderful.

Was a little disappointed initially when first walking into the room. I thought the room would have looked a little more updated. However, the view was fantastic and the beds were surprisingly very very comfortable! I would definitely stay again at this Comfort Inn.

Comfort Inn Lakeside was a very good experience. The location was perfect! The breakfast was everything that we had expected. The only thing was that the hotel did not provide klennexes not hair conditioner. Our experience at Mackinaw City area was wonderful. We would love to go back when we can stay longer. People in the city were very welcoming and friendly.

We had never made the trip to the upper part of We had vacationed in southern michigan years earlier and did not know what to expect. We were really pleased with every aspect of our trip. Towns were clean and friendly and our motel was excellent. I have always had a problem with making reservations for lodging sight unseen. The Comfort Inn exceeded our expectations and was well worth the price of the room. The local resturants were also excellent. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and we will come again with our famil to vacation there.

Our check in was quick and easy. All of the front desk staff were helpful and courteous whenever I stopped in to ask a question. Our room was just as listed online. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast bar was always clean and stocked. We would definitley stay at this hotel again.

It was a wonderful place to stay for our family and a perfect location. We also had wonderful service and would stay their again, especially for the price! The only things that kept it from being outstanding, were 1. the ice machine on our level was not working, and 2. the breakfast area was extremely small and crowded.

No problems, but we did find the breakfast area too small for the number of people wanting to eat there and not in their room. Perhaps it was not meant to be a sit down breakfast area, but solely for the food to be taken back to one's room. Food was good. The housekeeping staff were excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. had a wonderful time sitting on my balcony and looking at the lake. Whenever I visit the area I always stay at the same motel. It is close to the city and boat docks. No need to drive.
