I booked a room with with two queen beds. Upon arriving the receptionist was great we went to our room,we were given one bed perhaps it was a king.. I called down to the front desk and she said the other bed pulls out from the wall. we could not even find a way to pull it down.. called again they gave us a upgrade they said..a 2 room suite. with small kitchen.. two queen beds Thank You for the upgrade.

The staff was very nice and polite. This has been the third time I've stayed at this hotel. The price was right for the quality of the room, and the breakfast buffet is a must!

We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Suites. It is conveniently located to shops and ferry service. The staff was friendly and helpful. The reason I chose this motel was the water park. It was great fun for my 9 year old son.

I thought everything was well run. There was lots of room in the Breakfast area and the food was very good. The pool area seemed clean as well as our room. The staff were all friendly. I enjoyed everything!

The room was nice and very clean. We had an excellent view! The hot breakfast was wonderful... I have never seen a hotel put out a breakfast like this :). We enjoyed the waterpark for 2 days, and ALL of us had something to do. A hot tub and sauna for us adults, and slides for the kids!

Had a delightful time in water park with our family! Our rooms were pleasant. Breakfast would have been nicer if there was more than 1 person serving all those people.

We stayed at the hotel for a mid-winter water park weekend. We have 5 kids of various ages, and the water park was good for entertaining all ages. The reason that I didn't give 5 stars was because of a few things lacking with the hotel. The room did not have any space for hanging towels and suits. With a hotel attached to a water park, it would be really helpful to have hanging space. The breakfast was ok. Not great quality food like we've had at other places, but there was always plenty of seating, which was nice. One other little fussy thing that would be nice is real half and half for the coffee instead of the powdered non dairy stuff that was the only thing available.

We love staying in Mackinaw City in the winter - our kids start asking in Sept. if we are going to go. This was our 6th year and it is nice to be able to eat in the same hotel as the water park. Our only disappointment was that the single person working in the kitchen area was not able to keep up with the number of people coming to eat. Admittedly, it is a short shift, but I think your customers would be more pleased if there were more employees available during the breakfast time so that there was enough food, juice, plates to serve everyone present. See You Next Year!!

Convenient location, pleasant staff, very comfortable room, very clean, reasonable price. Breakfast was basic and used paper plates and plastic utensils. I had requested a room on a low floor and, athough the facility did not seem to be fully occupied, the room was on the highest floor possible.

The girl at the breakfast was short with people, not friendly, no smile. She told one guest there was no regular coffee, then in a few minutes she brought some out. I( had to ask for hot water for tea. She was also on the phone much of the time. No elevator in the lobby was inconvinent. The rooms were nice, clean and service was ok.

Beautiful lakeside room, however, reception area rather gloomy along with reception people not really being too helpful. Loved Mackinaw City and Island, and will be returning sometime.

The breakfast was so...so. Too many steps to find the 3rd floor ice machine!!! You should have one on each floor..really!! :( Other than that you should get a 5 star. Everything else was great... people,service,etc. The 2 things I mentioned are very important.

Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had a good variety to choose from. The staff was ok. The girl at the front desk when we checked in was not very friendly nor were the ones in the breakfast room. We did enjoy our stay there and would stay there again if we were in the area.

It was a little weird the way the hotel was laid out. The room was above average, but nothing super special. The free breakfast was akward and a little inconveniate.

Our three nights was wonderful. The housekeeping staff were very kind and thoughtful. I appreciated the occasional extra coffee for the room. The grandchildren loved the pool and water park. The Comfort Suites has very friendly staff, it was clean, my kids LOVED the indoor water park, and it was nice to walk down the street to see all the shops. The only difference for us between good and outstanding was the need for room upgrades. The bathroom you could tell had been recently upgraded and it has a flat screen tv, however, the tv needs to be raised at eye level and not "floor" level. Even if they could place it on a long dresser like most other hotels do, that would be great! Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

My best friend owns a resort where on busy weekends I often get recruited to help; which I mention only because unlike other guests, I truly know what goes on "behind the scenes. With that being said, I would like to say your front desk staff is one of the most impressive I've come across! We will be back!!! Thanks for an amazing family stay:). As for the maids and other staff...excellent! I can honestly say we had the perfect stay:). Thanks HUGE!

A couple of things to note with our stay...First, the suite that we had reserved was still being occupied, due to the fact that the previous guests had decided not to check out and their stuff was still in our room...The front desk was aware of this and when we checked in, the situation was explained thoroughly and with apologies...As a result, they offered us a different room at a reduced rate, which was a sign of great customer service in my opinion!! The other thing of note was just a bit of an "oddity"....The bathroom sink wasn't in the bathroom...It was in the hallway between the door and the sleeping area...I don't know why the builders thought that was a good idea, but it's an odd lay-out.... We were very pleased with our stay and happy that Comfort Suites were able to move us to a different room under these circumstances....It was a very busy weekend in Mackinaw and rooms were difficult to come by... Thank you and the Armstrong family will see you soon!!!

This is the Hotel my family and my brothers family stay at whenever we are in Mackinaw. The employee's are always friendly especially the Manager Ben and his assistant Michelle. they always make us feel welcome. The hotel is well taken care of and is in a good location for travel to the island between the Starline and Arnolds.

I thought the hotel was very warm and inviting. Beds slept really well. Breakfast was o.k. There was plenty to pick from. Just wish sausages tasted better and danishes was warm instead of real cold. The thing that makes me not give it a outstanding is the Customer Service from the desk. Either there needs to be more experienced help to keep things moving along faster. The one lady was professional but also very short with you. I had to wait in line for 15 minutes just to ask her a simple question that took 2 seconds. I politely said excuse me, but I have a quick question. Then I tried to ask her my question off to the side out of the line first, and she rudely told me, (before I could say a word after excuse me), I'll take care of you when I am done with the other customer. The other worker new nothing, because he was obviously new. I work in retail sales and when I'm working with a customer and I can see another customer has a question, I politely ask the customer is there something I can help you with, and if it's something simple that won't interfere with slowing me down on the current customer, I'll answer the question or get something for them if it's quick... However, if asking how can I help you and what they need is something that will require my undivided attention, I may state to them that of course I can help you with that, but it will be a few minutes to take care of my other customers in line first. Or something like that. Not just leave someone waiting in line for 15 to 20 min. to answer a simple little question. Other than that, the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Angela M.

The room was beautiful and so was the view. The front desk people were very kind and helpful. The only problem was the "free" breakfast. The hotel was full and the breakfast area was not prepared for the onslaught of people.

The suite we had had too much furniture in it to use the Murphy bed. We had to move furniture and remove cushions from the sofa in order for the bed to come down. Very crowded for 3 people.

I really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. I just wished that the kiddy splash zone were elsewhere because it was so noisy. Michelle at the front desk was outstanding. We arrived early to pick up our Mackinaw Island package, but not everyone in our party went to the Island. Michelle notified us as soon as we could check in so that we had a place when we got tired of sightseeing. Thanks Michelle!

My original hotel cancelled my reservation DUE TO ELECTRICAL problems. I searched for a hotel and decided on Comfort Suites. After my online reservation, Comfort Suites called to transfer my reservation because they didn't have the room available. The other hotel(Bayside) didn't have the right size beds and transferred me back to Comfort Suites. After much pleading they finally gave me an "upgraded" room with the 2 QN beds I originally reserved for at a discounted rate. The price they quoted me was not correct(I paid more than what they told me what it would be on the phone) and I didn't get a receipt upon checkout to see what the charges were. Overall, good service because they were willing to work with me, but if you are going to charge more the amount agreed upon, you should be upfront about it.
