The room was as to be expected and the rates were reasonable. As for the breakfast, I thought the "tip jar" was a bit tackey. Also was not prepared in a timely manner.

The staff was extremely friendly and went out of there way to help whenever possible. The breakfasts were wonderful and there was plenty of food, never left hungry. The view of Lake Huron was unbelievable,expecially at sunrise.

Wonderful property! View from our room was amazing of the Mackinac Bridge! Would definataly stay there again and reccommend to future clients! Waterpark was awesome! Great value for the cost!

Room was clean and the staff at the front desk we nice and helpful. Only drawback was that the breakfast was the next hotel over so it was pretty crowded for two hotels sharing the same breakfast area.

I needed a room that was wheelchair accesible (they did not have), so they sent me to their sister hotel "Beach Vista Bridge" and it was outstanding, I will definatly be staying again. Awesome service and Awesome view

We had a large family group. There were 8 of us. We were lucky to get the a 3 room suite. My sister and her husband took a room. I shared a room with children and the others used the 2 bedroom. This gave us plenty of space and losts of bathrooms when we all needed to get ready to go. The location was nice. The pool was fun and the breakfast was right next door. My only comment on the room it would be nice to have a hook on the wall in the bathroom for robe or clothes. Barbara Graham

We found our original room (1st floor) to be very damp and dingy. We requested a room elsewhere and they moved us to the floor above and we were satisfied. The 1st floor rooms are partially below ground.

I think this hotel needs re-evaluate their definition of "kitchenette". I do not think they should be allowed to claim this on their description if they do not have more than just a refrigerator and a microwave.

We had a beachfront balcony room and it was great. We brought our two children and visited the indoor waterparks at the sister hotels as well. A great time for the whole family!!! Cant wait to come back again.

The room was VERY clean and updated. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The front desk staff was courteous. We were able to check in early and even get a late check out the next morning. Great hotel for the price. Will definitely go back!

The hotel was fine. The room was spacious and the location was good. They had some nice perks with respect to different water parks. It could have been a little cleaner but it was a good place for the price we paid.

Everyone was very nive. Our air conditioning wasn't working very well, and we called the front desk and they has someone there within 10 minutes. He couldn't get it working very good, and it was 10:00 at night, so he brought us a fan, and the next day they got it fix perfect.

My husband and I had never stayed at the Fairview Beachfront Inn until recently. I can safely say that we WILL return. This hotel was a GREAT value. We had a room overlooking the lake, beach access and the indoor water park was great. My Son loved it. The breakfast buffet was at the hotel next door, however, it was very convenient and, unlike other hotels, had plenty of seating as well as an outdoor patio. Overall, we were VERY pleased with our choice to stay there while in Mackinaw City and we will be back next summer.

The rates were excellent for this room. Basic amenities and very clean. Balcony and view of the beach wonderful. Staff was great. Hotel had lots of amenities (pool, water park, spa). Breakfast was just okay and though next door, was not inconvenient. A few bothersome issues: climbing four flights of stairs to get to our room; the heating/cooling system was difficult to regulate. Otherwise, great stay at a great price.

Wonderful view and beach! The staff was very helpful and professional. Close breakfast area with adequate choices for adults and kids. Our room could have used some TLC in the bathroom (shower knob came off in our hand and the drain didn't work in the tub!). The bathroom would have been an issue if we were staying more than one night.

This hotel would have been outstanding if they could have got us in are room sooner. We showed up early and asked if our room was ready. Our room was made availible to us only 30mins early. I felt they could have won big points if they would have clean and made it availible sooner. It was wonderful to have acess to all the waterparks. The location and price was wonderful. The neighbor hotels breakfast was just wonderful and it was nice how all hotels welcomed others from other hotels. I feel all hotels invovled in the waterparks and breakfast should also get this this review.

Lock to the door to our room was damaged and hard to turn. Still using keys. Breakfast was not in the hotel but next door and crowded because of serving two hotels. hotel was nothing fancy.

When we first arrived, the man at the front desk would not even acknowledge me for 2 to 3 minutes. The lady turned around and immediately greeted me and helped check me in. The rest of the trip was great. The cleaning staff was very kind and helpful!!

Could not lock screen on sliding door to beach front. Screen would not open or shut . We booked 3 rooms and all had the same problem. Otherwise not bad. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet, could had a few more choices. would like to see a discount when booking more than one room. Thanks for a grt stay

The location is why I rated the hotel good. This hotel has a nice beach and the price is very reasonable. If it didn't have the nice beachfront I would have rated it average. I think they could make the beachfront more inviting with nice chairs and keep it organized. Regarding the rooms I think it would be very easy to make them more inviting with newer bedding. Overall we had a wonderful time in Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island!

The hotel room was nice. Directions to the 2nd floor breakfast room in the Clarion would have been helpful. I also think they should not advertise to have internet services when the services actually are from the Clarion. We had spotty internet connection services. We did like the pool and the splash park.

Very good for the price. Cleanliness was most important and it was clean. Noise level was good, didn't hear neighbors. Nice hot continental breakfast. Would have preferred more protein and some fresh fruit and yogurt as it was full of carbs. Sunday and Tuesday were restocked, the woman working Monday morning was too busy texting to keep it stocked until there were requests and complaints. Love being on the beach, wish there was some type of faucet off the beach to wash off sand rather than bringing into room. Love the large hot tub. Property needs basic maintenance, such as some issues with the small hot tub in temp..too cold one night, too hot the next and something protruding from bottom that needs a cover so no injuries to feet. My toilet needed the handle held down to flush. Really appreciated the fridge, wish there would have been a microwave in the room. Appreciated access to other water parks for a change in scenery. Good deal for price, would stay again.

Everything was great, especially the staff. They helped us with directions to different sights and other questions we had. The room was nice and clean and comfortable.Breakfast was good, but after 4 days of the same eggs, sausage and fruit it got a little tiring. I know there were waffles and other items, but I think maybe having 1 different hot item everyday or every other day may add some spark to the breakfast. Yes, I would stay here again. We enjoyed the location, the various water parks available to us, the walking distance to the city and the ferries. We did not enjoy that other residents were feeding the seagulls who then perched on our porch making it messy.The room was clean but seemed very dark and damp. However we would chose to stay there again b/c of the great location. The service was very good too!

Rooms were clean from time we arrived until day we left. Friendly staff comfortable large hot tub and great views of Lake Huron. Free breakfast and proximity to downtown are nice features as well. Stayed there last year when it was the Aqua Grand. Loved it then as well. Will be booking again in the future...has become my go to get away spot. Only draw back was the 3rd floor upstairs no elevator. Lots of steps but wont stop me from staying there again.

Door did not close well. There was a littel concern about all door locks being keyed to open from the outside. Sliding screen on beach side was in bad shape and constantly came off track. Better free wifi would have been nice, it is almost becomeing the standard at motels. Furnishings were new enough and room was clean

My granddaughter loved the Waterpark and the pool! The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was clean and just right! We had a beachfront room and it was awesome having the beach right at our back door! I liked the easy access to the nearby hotels that shared breakfast areas and their waterparks with the Fairview; and the drive to downtown shops and the boats to Mackinac was easy and short! WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN...IN FACT WE ARE!

This place was great; right on the waterfront with their own beach. The rooms were clean and confortable; the pool was not cold, and above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would defintitely stay at this place again.

Fairview couldn't give me the accomodations I wanted. They sent me to their sister hotel Bridge Vista View. We were given what we asked for and then some. Wesley at Fairview was very nice. The rate stayed the same and our accomodations were awesome. Would definitely go back!

The Fairview Beachfront was very reasonable, clean, great view from our room, friendly staff, and they offer a nice hot breakfast. You get access to all three area waterparks which the kids loved. I would recommend this hotel.

The first night we got a courtside room and it had a terrible musty smell and wasn't the nicest. The next two nights we stayed in a beachfront room. It was very clean and nice wasn't modern but found that to be true and part of the charm of the entire area. I would sty here again.

Perfect location, nice beach, clean rooms, helpful at desk. Little walk to indoor water park, beds need updating,no elevator. We did have a great time and loved the short walk to all the stores in town. Breakfast was in blg next door. We would go back again, just wouldn't want third floor. Every thing was excellent. The hotel shares a room for complementary breakfast with one next door. The girl at the desk did not make that clear to us where it was at. (unusual arrangement) I figured it out the 2nd morning. We enjoyed our little veranda with a view of the beach.
