We did not stay at the Fairview, because it was closed for the season. We stayed at the Hamilton Beachfront Inn. It was wonderful. The room was clean, well appointed, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the experience in the dining room. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and made sure we had all we needed. Having a jacuzzi in our room was wonderful, and the hotel pool was inviting and enjoyable. I would stay at The Hamilton again.

very clean and very friendly with check in and out. Although they share the breakfast bar with the hotel next door, the breakfast was average, they could have a bigger room and/or more seating to accommendate both hotels at peak time for breakfast.

Room was large and clean but could use a little updating. The manager and assistant were very pleasant and helpful. The pool was nice and breakfast tasty. Would definitely stay here again (actually we stayed there 3 different times this past summer)!

Friendly, The rooms were clean. We especially enjoyed the pass to use any of the indoor water parks at some of the other hotels. The breakfast choices were great. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, clean, modern room with great view of Lake Huron. Comfortable beds, very nice bathroom, and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good hot breakfast in nice setting. Took advantage of lazy river, hot tun, and pool. Caught very to Mackinac Island. Short walk. Easy stroll to shopping and restaurants. Great rate for lake view. We return with our dog after Labor Day. Thus is the best place we have stayed in Mackinac, except for our Grand Hotel stay. Only suggestion is to replace tv in room. Closed caption on all time as button broken.

Rooms were clean and spacious but very basic(nothing fancy). One room did not have shampoo the first night but it was there the second night. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of food as well as a good variety. We had seven rooms for one night and six for the second night and they were all adjacent to each other in a separate wing, making it possible for us to socialize as a family.

We thought this hotel was clean, comfortable, had a great breakfast every day (we DIDN'T have to go to another building, it was right upstairs), beautiful view, and LOVED the waterpark for the kids! Downsides; water in the waterpark was a little cold, and the lakeside was horrible and rocky (could be due to receding water). Those 2 things combined made no water fun for mom and dad (kids could not have cared less!) We would have also liked a locking screen door to keep toddlers in and allow breeze in. Overall or under 100 per night, you can't beat it - we would stay again.

The hotel was dated and one of the two beds was really, really uncomfortable. However, the breakfast was good, as was the pool and access to the waterparks. For the price, we would certainly stay here again.

We stay at this hotel every year for our anniversary, and are satisfied with our stay. One minor inconvience is that they do not offer wi-fi. We are contemplating staying at a different hotel next year, unless the Fairview implements wi-fi. But we do love the hot tub. It's the best we have ever seen or experienced. However we could still use it if we stay at the other hotel we are considering.

Before booking I asked if the hot tub was working and was told yes. When I arrived 3 days later it was empty and under construction. Everything else was Outstanding.

We were disappointed in the beach and also WIFi connection was bad. However, overall the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We would not hesitate to stay again. Basically, enjoyed the Mackinaw City and Island area!

This was a good value for the price - clean, comfortable, safe, and family friendly with beach access. I was able to walk from the hotel to tour historic features and I also walked to the Mackinaw Island Ferry for a day trip. I had trouble finding the location for the complimentary breakfast - a note in the room or at the office would have been helprul. In summary, the accomodations were not elegant or fancy but then, I didn't really need that since most of my time was spent exploring.

The hotel was very nice and affordable, especially since we booked online and we booked early. The room wasn't ready when we arrived so without question, they upgraded us to another room and we didn't have to wait at all. Thanks for an excellent stay!

great hotel prices and staff....the only two things that could change are the parking (not enough or close to room) and the temperature of the water spray room...the water was absolutely freezing...no one would go in, however the huge jacuzzi was a great hit with the kids!

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, and the view beautiful; the staff kind and very easy to deal with. We had two areas of concern: it would have been lovely to have wifi in the room. I had a few things I needed to do for work and it was not convenient to have to go to the lobby to connect with clients. Also, the eggs, sausage & biscuit gravy at breakfast did not taste good. The breakfast had all the right elements and the staff person was fabulous, it just didn't taste very good. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay and would select the hotel again.

The hotel was very accommodating both times we have stayed there this summer. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The newest indoor water-park was so much fun, our grandchildren loved it!

Great price! Didn't stay waterfront, but our room was right on the side, so if we walked out of our room we could see the water. Great amenities-breakfast, laundry, pools, access to waterparks at close locations. I couldn't believe the value we got for the price.

Nice clean hotel with nice room. Very nice being right on the beach front. Great price for the room also. Breakfast was inconvenient having to go to seperate hotel. Especially since it was raining that morning. Breakfast room was full and felt we needed to rush so others could sit down to eat. Food was good. Think it is tacky that they have a tips jar sitting out in breakfast room. I understand having free breakfast is a great perk but felt like them asking for tips was inappropriate.

Our room was clean and we got a good night's sleep. We enjoyed our breakfast next door. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Location on the beach can't be beat... what a view!

We loved our room with the lake/beach front view. it was clean, friendly staff and we found the breakfast very nice. We felt this was a great price for what we got. We were within walking distance of the boats to Mackinaw island and also to the downtown restaurants. We had a great stay.

We were very impressed that since the Fairview Beachfront was not ready to open and we had placed the reservation online - they gave us reservations in the Hamilton Inn with similar accomodations but at the same rate quoted online. We were happy to have a reservation when we arrived.

The staff was extremely friendly and went out of there way to help whenever possible. The breakfasts were wonderful and there was plenty of food, never left hungry. The view of Lake Huron was unbelievable,expecially at sunrise.

Wonderful property! View from our room was amazing of the Mackinac Bridge! Would definataly stay there again and reccommend to future clients! Waterpark was awesome! Great value for the cost!

I needed a room that was wheelchair accesible (they did not have), so they sent me to their sister hotel "Beach Vista Bridge" and it was outstanding, I will definatly be staying again. Awesome service and Awesome view

We had a large family group. There were 8 of us. We were lucky to get the a 3 room suite. My sister and her husband took a room. I shared a room with children and the others used the 2 bedroom. This gave us plenty of space and losts of bathrooms when we all needed to get ready to go. The location was nice. The pool was fun and the breakfast was right next door. My only comment on the room it would be nice to have a hook on the wall in the bathroom for robe or clothes. Barbara Graham

We found our original room (1st floor) to be very damp and dingy. We requested a room elsewhere and they moved us to the floor above and we were satisfied. The 1st floor rooms are partially below ground.

We had a beachfront balcony room and it was great. We brought our two children and visited the indoor waterparks at the sister hotels as well. A great time for the whole family!!! Cant wait to come back again.

The room was VERY clean and updated. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The front desk staff was courteous. We were able to check in early and even get a late check out the next morning. Great hotel for the price. Will definitely go back!

The hotel was fine. The room was spacious and the location was good. They had some nice perks with respect to different water parks. It could have been a little cleaner but it was a good place for the price we paid.

Everyone was very nive. Our air conditioning wasn't working very well, and we called the front desk and they has someone there within 10 minutes. He couldn't get it working very good, and it was 10:00 at night, so he brought us a fan, and the next day they got it fix perfect.
