We had a slight issue with the first room they put us in, but I believe that was because they had just opened that are of the hotel. The manager moved us to a different room and the room was fantastic. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel. The staff was great and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Our room was clean and the breakfast was great. The worker was busy cleaning up and replacing food the whole time we were in there. Granddaughters loved the Belgium waffles. They had a great time at the indoor water park.

Being the end of the season, on site ammenities were unavailable. We were able to use adjacent facilities. The room was in need of freshening up, but clean. The rating would have been Outstanding had we been able to stay on site for breakfast/pool.

The room was awesome! Great beachfront view. Made reservations for the jaquzzi suite... was not available. But was upgraded to King Room Suite. If I ever return to Mac. City., I will be staying at the Quality Inn & Suites (King Suite) Weather was cool,crisp, and sunny.

The staff were very nice. The breakfast was more than I was expecting. I thought the room was very clean, however the bathroom could use some help. It was weird when you step in the shower and the bottom gives a little.

The property was older and needed some sprucing up and minor maintenence like the balconty door was missing its security bar. Cold water ran hot until you ran it for 5 minutes which was an inconveneience. Breakfast was quite good and there were plenty of choices.

We stayed overnight on a trip across MIchigan. The room was quiet and comfortable, the staff was helpful, we were upgraded to a room on the lakefront, the complimentary breakfast was convenient and the total cost was very reasonable.

Staff (front desk and cleaning) was excellent, location was great, pool was fantastic and breakfast was one of the best I have had. The only reason it wasn't rated outstanding is the rooms are a little outdated. I would still recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Great room for our six-member family, with two TVs and large, comfortable beds. Staff was excellent, and Inn was clean and well-maintained. We plan on returning to this Inn on our annual trips to MN, with more time to enjoy Mackinaw City; looked fun. Would like to see something beyond the standard, waffle machine, reconstituted eggs. Hotel of this volume should support a better presentation at breakfast.

The manager was very friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations on local restaurants. The location of the hotel is great (lakefront), but the parking lot isn't the best (lack of spaces). Also, the breakfast is good even though the dining room was packed!

Overall - a very good Hotel. When at full occpancy, parking is very difficult. The Breakfast Bar is very good - but suffers from lack of adequate seating capacity. While eating breakfast one morning - I overheard from another Guest that they wetre from the Horel on the Left of the Quality Inn. Could this be the reason for the overcrowding ????

Expected a better breakfast, it was average. The way it was described I was expecting sausage & bacon and maybe even oatmeal. Would like the pool open a little later for those returning from the island or shopping down town. With that said, I/we would stay there again.

The weekend desk clerk was friendly and even called the housekeeping to have them get our room ready as soon as they finished with the room they were doing as you could see we had come on a motorcycle and even though we early for check in she got us checked in as soon as possible. She told us about discount coupons for area things that are on the brochures in the hotel lobby. Room was clean and very cute.

For the money, this was a very, very good deal. The room was quiet despite the fact we were on the ground floor. The breakfast was very good and the eating area was large enough to accomodate everyone that was there at a given time. The location in regards to the lake was great. We were approximately 150' from the waters edge and could see the island from our room. While the room was somewhat dated as we were in the "old" two story section, for the price it was a real bargain. I would definately stay there again.

The room was clean buy was the smallest motel room I have ever seen. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'1 and 210 lbs and getting around in there was not easy. I tried to upgrade but could not due to everything being booked which I understand. However the breakfast was good.

For the price, we felt we could not have been more pleased. It was very clean and adequately provided with all the ammenities. The beds were very good and the linens were pure cotton which adds to the comfort. The breakfast bar was maintained well in spite of a large crowd in the room. The grounds were clean and kept up. I would definitely return and recommend this motel to others.

They allow all size dogs and the rooms are clean. The staff and/or owners are very nice. Location is just slightly off the main strip - close enough to walk to most things, but not as much traffic.

it was an older motel, but we loved the charm, the friendly people, the very cheerful and helpful employees, they were very informitive, which is so helpful when we travel the morning contintial breakfast had a lot more to offer than a modern chain.. we just loved it, just wish we could have stayed longer..

Everything was clean and convenient. Breakfast was nice. The staff was helpful and pleasant to work with. The extra service of watching our vehicles and providing transportation to the ferries was more than we expected and very welcome. I love this hotel! The room is fantastic, the views are outstanding and the price was wonderful. The staff are very nice. I've been staying at this place for several years, the 3rd floor north east room (370?) is my favorite room, which I request whenever I stay in Machinaw City. The distance from the hotel and the shops is perfect for walking! Thank-you!!

The sliding screen door to the balcony was really hard to open. It was wore out and bent. I'm sure it didn't work for some time before this, too bad the maids don't write down those things and they get fixed. I told them when I checked out and they said they had new ones ordered and thanked me for telling them. The room was very nice and clean though. The exterior hallways were a little dusty and there was a bat there. I know you can't help the bat problem. We could see the fireworks very well from the balcony though and it was very nice. Hot tub was great too. Breakfast was great also.

We were moved to the Quality Inn & Suites due to the Hamilton Inn being overbooked. The Hamilton made arrangements for a similar (actually larger) room for us at no additional cost to us. The accommodations were comfortable and the buffet was excellent. The Inn location was convenient.

we did not stay at the Quality ,We ended up staying at the Fairview after Quality could not accomadate our reservation, Quality transfered our reservation for us.We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.I would also like to say that the people at Quality took care of us well even though they could not accommadate us. the Fairview was Awesome! Very friendly and all the ammenties were GREAT!

Beachfront had a beautiful view! Balcony was a nice addition. We spent some time there just enjoying the quiet. 1. Need new pillows. They were bad. 2. Bathroom door didn't close properly. 3. Faucet didn't turn off properly. Other than those few minor issues, the room was clean and comfortable. Felt safe and had a great time! Thank you!

My experience with this hotel was good. The hotel is about average. The room was clean and it was on Lake Huron. There is a deck on the back of the hotel and not an individual balcony (first floor). The rates were very reasonable. Another chain hotel wanted twice as much for a Friday night stay. The beach is not as big and sandy as those closer to town, but you can swim there and it was nice. They offer a good breakfast in the morning. The staff is a little slow about refilling and cleaning up the messes that occur. They are dog-friendly! I would stay there again.

A guy by the name of Mike checked us in. He was great. Friendly, helpful, and gave us a great room. The room was clean, of ample size, and had a very nice view. Breakfast was one of the best free motel breakfasts I have had. The price was right and we will stay there again. I also think the Chamber of Tourism is doing a very good job. Thank you all for a pleasant experience.

The room was great for our purposes--a place to lay our heads for a couple nights. It was clean and comfortable. One issue that came up was no iron in the room. After requesting one, I had to wait almost an hour before one was brought. It was brand new (which was nice, but made it seem like the hotel didn't have irons)! The iron was not the issue, more the wait time. Also, a complaint was that when people shut their door, it sounded like an anvil was being dropped on top of our room. I was awakened from a deep sleep and actually had to stop and think whether there was a room above us (there wasn't--it was all one level where we were). The noise was quite loud and disruptive. Overall, I loved that there was a refrigerator there and that we had access to three water parks and the ability to purchase discount tickets to various places. I would recommend the hotel to others and would most likely stay there again.

Hotel was clean staff was great and the breakfast was awesome! I like the fact that it wasn't right in the downtown area (we have stayed down there before) it seemed to be more quite. The only complaint we had was the room was really small, we just had the single queen, so get a bigger room if you going to stay here. We we would stay here again.

we were put water side, which was very nice. Room was clean and nice, but sliding screen doors were very squeaky and hard to open and close. Need attention, but still doable. We were only there 1 night, and left too early for breakfast, so no comment on that. We would maybe stay here again. There are so many motels to choose from.
