I called the Clarion a week before our vacation to ask a few questions before we booked some rooms. I was put on the phone with Dave, the manager. He was extremely friendly and told me that he wanted us to stay at the hotel! Because of his friendly and compassionate nature, I booked two rooms. We were very impressed with the large size of the rooms and the cleanliness! We only stayed one night because we were on the road, and I wish we could have stayed a week! We plan to return to Mackinaw, and we will definitely stay there. Hi to Dave and sorry I didn\'t get the time to meet you in person! God Bless! Sandi Rectenwald.

We have stayed here 8-9 times. The only time it wasn't great was when we forgot that lake view is not the same as lake front........our error.........People are great, location is great, beach is great.....Warning. We will be back in 2010.......!!!!!

Would you stay again? Yes

When we first arrived we were given a lovely room on the top floor lakeside. It had a gorgeous, but impractical skylight window that faced east with no window covering. We were traveling with young children and didn't want to be awakened any earlier than necessary. The staff accomodated our request for a room change and we moved down to the 2nd floor. I was amazed at how quiet and comfortable our room was. There was a nice breakfast buffet with hot items like waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits....just about everything. We opted to use the waterpark pool because it was warmer. We drove to it because it is down the street. There was a nice beach outside the room and we could watch the Arnold ferries leaving. All in all, I would stay again and recommend this place. The parking lot was small and tight, but otherwise a positive experience.

There are many good things about this hotel. The hotel has an excellent location: you're right next to the Arnold Line ferry to take you to the Island and you have a very nice strip of sandy beach to enjoy. You're close enough to all the attractions that you can walk there, but not so close that you face constant "hustle and bustle" outside your room. The buildings themselves are attractive and well maintained and the breakfast served is exceptional (eggs, sausages, biscuits, home made waffles etc.) You also have a pool, game room, workout room, hot tub, laundry etc. at your disposal. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. Now the not so good: Parts of the breakfast room are overcrowded: especially the waffle irons.

Well I loved the location right next to Arnold line ferry. The water front rooms are spacious and the view is great. From the people working on the grounds to the breakfast lady to the front desk staff and housekeepers all were very pleasant and helpful. The entire place is very neet and clean, and I received a great rate on my room. The experience was very nice and I will certainly be back.
