The towels were soft and clean; the room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We slept extremely well while we were there which is not always the case at hotels. Was over and above average. All the extras that made our stay very pleasant and comfortable : Coffee maker, plenty of towels, comfortable bed, great free breakfast. It didn't take us long though to figure out where we needed to go. The room appeared clean but it did not smell fresh as I expected a room of your rating should be. The breakfast was excellent! Some people had stated that it wasn't good. But, for a breakfast that is included with the price of the room, it was great plus there was sufficient variety and plenty of it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Tho only thing that I thought should have been done better would have been if the pool and sauna would have been more centerly located. If you were in the units that over look beach and water you would have to go all the way back to the front of the hotel to use them. That met walking around on the open hall ways or go across the parking lot. In nice weather this would be a minor inconvence but in cold rainy or snowy windy weather it could be a major concern. Over all I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would be going to Mackinaw City. In fact when my wife and I plan on returning next year I will most defentllly stay at this hotel. The only downfall is the beds were not very comfortable, and we had to walk outside to and from the pool which made us a little chilly.
