Room was clean and odor free. It is unusual to walk into a hotel room and not get a smoke/musty/unclean smell. Bed was extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast was good, you had to wait quite a while to get to the food. I think they need a larger serving area. I rate the hotels by the bed, since that is where you are most of the stay. This was one of the most comfortable mattresses that I have slept on. I wanted a special weekend for my wife and me, so I got a room with a jacuzzi tub. When we got there we checked in and the front desk ladies were very nice and had everthing ready for us. We went to the room and it was perfect, added water to the tub and enjoyed it. THe beds were fantastic, I have a fake memory foam bed and the Tempur pedic was wonderful. On the negative side was the location of the breakfast room. It was on the third floor and the only way to get there was to use the outdoor walkway on the third floor and it was windy and raining when we were there. Rooms were clean. ONLY drawback was that getting from our room to pool area, lobby, and breakfast area was all outside. Although it was beautiful and memorable we stayed in some pretty shabby places that looked better online. Mackinaw is our favorite "chill out" spot so we planned it as a perfect ending to our vacation. We were not dissappointed.
