We went on the internet to find a place to stay. This place was rated among the best so we chose this place. The room we reserved was a two double bed with a lake balcony. The room was very clean and neat and the view was great. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best that we have ever had. The location was convenient to places to eat and to shop and to take the ferries. We loved being next to the state park and pier. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was courteous and helpful. Our hotel was in just the right spot to relax after touring the show, go to dinner and step outside ans watch the parade. Our room was spotless and the breakfast was wonderful. Front desk personnel were efficient and business-like. Rates seemed high, but I suppose it's like that in all nicer hotels in Mackinaw in the summer. We had a small 4th-floor balcony which we enjoyed. It was awesome to be able to have the window/door open at night for ventilation since it was cool outside. Very nice beach and lounge chairs. Breakfast bar was good, and was kept well-stocked. We were there during a cooler week, but the temperature in the breakfast room was uncomfortably warm. I was given permission to park in a "no parking" zone because there were no more parking spots when we checked in late at night. However, the fact that we were given a large suite for the price of a smaller room, made up for the parking issue! Great place to stay.
