It is very affordable, that is why we stay there. The only thing I wish there was, was more busineeses including stores and restaurants open during these winter months. I was very happy to have breakfast in the same hotel rather than across the street, that was awesome. Our room was right below a toddler who ran end to end across the room at 6am both mornings. Guess I should have asked to be moved, but enjoyed the room and view. Price was right, we walked downtown - good distance for exercise, reception was good. We didn't take advantage of the water park, but it looked good (although it was a little confusing as to how you got in - bracelet for entry, etc.). We were greeted warmly at the desk and, when we asked when the check in time was (it was only 12), they said anytime after 4 but, if we wanted a suite, they could have it ready and available for in in a half hour for just a small increase of cost. We took it and went to lunch, by the time we came back, we had a great suite to come to! We really didn't stay long enough to partake in the pool or anything. My husband's one gripe about the place is there was no newspaper at the door in the am. Other than that, we had a nice room, slept good, the continental breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and pleasant.The bed on our room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was ok...the food was good, the staff was working very hard to accomadate the crowd, but seating space was lacking and cleanup of tables could have been improved. The number of waste cans could be increased. The location of the waffle making station certainly slowed down the entire line. It may be beneficial to relocate it to the toaster area. It may better serve to have a diagram of the food area laid out on display as people are waiting in line...so that those only desiring the continental breakfast items could be separated from the line. Possibly a larger coffee station....the pots were emptied at a rate faster than filled. The only drawback is the internet connection is lousy in the rooms. We did discover, however, that the reception is great in the dining room on the third floor. The drawback to that is that only one person can use the computer as the other has to stay in the room to watch the kids. The bed was more comfortable than any other hotel bed we slept in while in Michigan the last 2 weeks. And we enjoyed the huge hot tub in the adjacent building. We had a wonderful time.
