We had a clean, well kept room with hot water for our morning shower, and surprisingly the breakfast wasn't all that bad, even though it appeared a little skimpy at first glance. I feel we had a good bang for our buck.These comments are from a verified stay

More towel racks in bathroom and along sink wall would have been nice. Also breakfast room was to small, each morning our party of 5 could not sit and eat (we had 3 young children all under 5). Sunrise Beach MotelSunrise Beach Motel Judy from Swartz Creek stayed in September 2018This hotel is very well kept for an older hotel. I loved the accessibility to other interesting sites within walking distance of the hotel. The manager was extremely concerned with our comfort and needs and I even noted him helping with some of the cleanup duties outdoors. I honestly want to go back to mackinaw ASAP. And I would stay at the same exactly motel just because of the people. The two women at the front desk made our stay worth it. Did you find this helpful?|We stayed for 4 nights at Sunrise Beach Motel. It has spectacular views of the bridge and Mackinac island. My only complaint is that in unit #1, the air conditioner doesn't work. It's extremely loud and doesn't cool the room down. We complained a couple times but they didn't seem to care. The air conditioner is about 30 plus years old. A new one would save electricity. I didn't realize I couldn't check in until 4pm and I arrived about 11:30am! I told them I was going to Mackinac Island and we had to use our rooms before we left!! They told me that they would get their house keepers on it right away and come back a 1pm and they would be ready and that was alright with me. That night my grandkids had a ball in the spa and swimming pool. They also liked seeing the ducks and geese in the lake. The problem was that we had an water front and the beach area and grass was loaded with goose poop and seagul poop so it made it nasty for my grandkids to play. Other than that the stay was great. The pool was nice and the water was sparkling clean, but the heater was not working and the water was frigid. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always smiling! We would come back like to come back when the indoor pool and hot tub is open. Also the grounds could have been cleaner as there was cigarette butts and the outdoor chairs were not too clean. Screen door does not lock. Microwave didn't work. I will stay again because the staff makes up for the negatives. Michelle is very professional and personable.
