Marie stayed in November 2016Great place to stay, our corner room started out very cold (it was near the end of November) but they quickly set us up with a portable heater. The water park and large pool were great for the family. Breakfast was served at a separate Hotel (it was off season) but the breakfast was a hot breakfast and was delicious and complimentary. The hotel staff were excellent in all capacities and give wonderful customer service. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed again on the trip back home (the next night) and aain they gave us the same prices and upgrades. Kids loved the water park and the breakfast. (Two suggestions-maybe have plastic bags in the room for wet clothes to be put in when people leave, and there was hairs (glob of hairs) floating in corners of the pool and hot tub. Kinda ewww). We were in walking distance, once we parked the car we really didn't have to move it. The person at the front desk I believe her name was Michelle (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) but she was just Awesome I can't say enough good things about her, she was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the island and ferry just Awesome she was alone at the front desk she definitely needed more help but she was handling it all. Our room was very clean and very nice we loved it. Now the Breakfast Bar leaves a lot to be desired they really need to revamp that and add better foods and more variety nothing looked very appealing. The water park for is small but it is a nice waterpark. The free breakfast was pretty good lots to choose from. The only thing was no workers to be seen taking out the trash. The containers where very full I didn't like the fact that they used styrofoam for cups and plates. Other than that for the price it is definitely a bargain in Mackinaw city.
