The nice linens, plenty of pillows & towels and clean carpet offset the somewhat dated furnishings. The pool was clean with plenty of towels. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of good hot/cold foods. Our beach-side room had a terrific view so our room was more than just a place to sleep. The bathroom area was quite large to with a fridge. I was expecting a mini fridge not the size that was in the room. The employees were very friendly. The breakfast area was very busy during the time it was open but the staff kept everything neat and filled. It showed that it was available the whole time I was booking it. A few minutes later, a gentleman from the Clarion called me and told me it was already booked, and had found me another room at the Hamilton Inn Select and had negotiated the same rates for me. Our room was very nice and the view beautiful. All of the staff that I encountered were polite, cheerful, and helpful. The breakfast had the most variety of any I've seen for this type of hotel, and it actually tasted good. All of the people working as kitchen staff were on the ball and more than happy to get you what you needed or wanted when you needed or wanted it.
