Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.
An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control flat screen televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

The rooms were comfortable, easy beach access ( my mother has had a stroke and my granddaughter has autism). My family also enjoyed the pool daily. The location was close to downtown and my mother enjoyed walking around the area. It is the most she has walked in quit sometime. Last our rooms were excellent for viewing of the fireworks. That day and the first night was just that...Perfect!! The second night...Not so perfect! the hotel started to fill up and the parking lot ran out of parking spaces because of some inconsiderate customers. Then the people next to us were talking loud into the night, keeping us wake long after we went to bed! also they woke up early and woke us up with the shower in the bathroom! The room is very nice. Only complaint is the size of the breakfast room. For a Motel the size of this the breakfast room was smaller than our room and overcrowded. Mike, one of the worker's at the hotel, called another hotel in the area, and was able to get a room. He walked our reservation over to the other hotel,to make sure they would be able accommodate us.
