In addition to that they included us in a surprise birthday celebration they had planned for one of their own coworkers who had the same birthday as my husband. They all were exceptional, Hotel was exceptional. They helped take our minds off the situation we have been going through. The absolute highlight of our stay was Fifi and Kate at the front desk. They were as helpful and pleasant as they could possibly be. The view on the lakeside balcony was the most beautiful to relax to. Staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Very close to ferry boarding. There was a jacuzzi tub in our room available but not working which was a real let down but the shower was very nice. No reason not to stay here! Note: The midges people are talking about are everywhere in the city and island. Were not as bad when we were there but still present. Building had a place inside to store and lock up bikes which was nice. Indoor pool was a really nice too. Great location for food and shops and the ferry rides to the island. Nice beach area in the back of the hotel and rooms that lookout to the beach. The screen door to the balcony was broken and would not slide correctly. The bathroom door stuck closed so we could never shut it all the way. However, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the jacuzzi tub in the room was awesome, and the view from our room was great.
