Helped my family upgrade our room to a larger room with walkout balcony to beach. Wife and kids enjoyed this upgrade very much. I enjoyed them. The breakfast was a bit lack luster, as we went early and many things were ran low and not replenished. The rollaway bed was comfortable, but the cost associated with it was a bit high priced. The room was relatively clean, I did find some garbage by the bed. The room was very clean. We were greeted upon arrival and helped by front desk staff. The downtown area leaves much to be desired. Theres a handful of unique shops & too many tshirt and fudge shops. And what is up with all these shops closing at 2 pm? The staff was courteous and professional. It was within walking distance to Shepler's Ferry .I enjoyed my stay very much. My only small complaint would be the Breakfast hours. It was from 7a to 9a. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and welcoming upon arrival and when we had questions. The furnishings were dated but clean and we had no issues with the facility. The whole experience in the area was clouded by the seasonal Midge infestation which plagued the peninsula and Mackinac Island. Of course, this was of no fault of the proprietors.
