BY EVERYONE!! All the staff &the owners when blessed with running into them!! We stayed at the families uncle's Motel, the Queens Motel on our Honeymoon......41 yrs ago!!! And we have never been sorry!! We will continue to stay at the Hamilton Inn Select for as long as the Lord blesses us with the ability to come. We are now 75 yrs old so not sure how long we will be blessed with the health to come. But we love the Lieghio family....EVERY ONEof themAnd it is our opinion that we're it not for them, and their LOVE for Mackinaw Cityand the Island, Mackinaw City would be a ghost town!! We have been coming for over 41yrs, and have seen ONLY IMPROVEMENT after ALL these years.....and much of that improvement is a creditto the Lieghio Family. GOD BLESS THEM EVERY ONE OF THEM!! Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront HotelHamilton Inn Select Beachfront Shelia from Ecorse stayed in April 2023My husband and I have stayed @ this hotel for over 30 years and we request the same room each year, however, due to the pandemic, we did not come to Mackinaw City @ all or go anywhere, but they accommodate us whenever we did stay with them. I have no complaints with them, they have a full-line breakfast room and NOT just a complimentary breakfast, also a very nice exercise room, a nice-sized pool, and a whirlpool. They did lessen their food line w/breakfast, but understandable due to the higher cost of everything. Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront HotelHamilton Inn Select Beachfront Shelia from Ecorse stayed in May 2023The hotel itself was very accommodating, every year we have stayed over the past 30 + years, we've had no problems, we always get the over-sized room that we request; the rooms are clean, refrigerator on hand, exercise room available, swim room available as well as the whirlpool. We were let down by the breakfast menu, and we realize food cost has risen, but ham every day is NOT good for your diet, especially being a senior, and neither are pancakes, we heard so many people asking, where were the eggs and sausage??? The coffee was unbelievable as well as the orange juice, Nasty tasting and undrinkable!!!! We had to spend extra money, and go to Starbucks for coffee, Unacceptable! This establishment is known to be better than that, I was really let down, I don't eat breakfast foods, but, my husband does. Also, I went downstairs to the main desk to get coffee and I was told that the coffee is turned off @ noon, really??? is it just for the staff only, because there was a code of numbers to be keyed in, I hope this is corrected for further guest, we normally stay with your hotel twice a year, but when the pandemic occurred, we missed 2 years, so I'm not sure if this menu was the changed @ that time or not. What a letdown though, your marketing people need to re-think the menu; because that breakfast is horrible and what is on hand is NOT replenished often, so the next group of people who come in, think there is nothing available. I am usually NOT a complainer, however when you stay 4 or 5 nights, you would like a decent breakfast, if not, don't offer it. I hope this survey is taken into consideration. So kind and helpful, they joked around with us and overall left us with a great experience of the hotel even though we had rocky room experience. Our slider door didnt lock (and they quickly and so kindly switched our room right away and made sure we were taken well care of). And then in our new room there was a questionable napkin covering our fire alarm, slightly concerning but yolo man. We stayed in a Lakefront balcony with a perfect view of the sunrise. We got some gorgeous photos. The room was spacious and cozy. Beds very comfy. Staff was friendly. Pool stays open until 12pm. Free simple breakfast. Local shops and restaurants in walking distance. Most open back up in May but we enjoyed the walk to the Dixie to eat anyways 9/10 recommend!!! Super close to the bridge. Noted...we could not see the bridge from our balcony but we were okay with that.
