We had a really positive experience. The front desk clerks were wonderful. The first night our electronic keys wouldnt open our door. After the second trip back to the lobby to address the issue, we were upgraded to a beautiful lakefront room. We had business in Marquette the next day and werent sure of our plans for Saturday night. We decided to return to Hamilton Inn and were booked into another very ice, quiet, spacious room. The only negative was the breakfast. Lakeside view was beautiful and room was very clean. Breakfast could have been better. Only 1 cereal to choose from and not alot to choose from. The second morning we skipped breakfast and went to a restaurant. Still would highly recommend. The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfast in the morning was great. The best part about the whole trip was the pool. It was open until 12 am late but super nice for evenings after exploring all day. Loved the size of the jacuzzi and the balcony view. Didn't get to use the pool or hot tub due to it being packed with kids all day and night. All the public spaces were clean, and quite beautiful. The coffee was fine. Very close to the shops and the water. I had a room with a balcony and I watched the sunrise over the lake. The room was freezing when we got to it because the heat was turned off, we had to turn the heating unit on (it was in the 60s in the room maybe? cold for sure). After being outside in the cold for a few hours (we came up to try and catch the Northern lights), it was a bit disappointing to walk into a cold room. Continental breakfast was good. Nice stay.
