The room was a bit small, but clean. Like most customers, we understand the effects of the pandemic on continental breakfast. However, we had stayed at the Best Western Dockside several days earlier, and the difference was like night and day. If you asked for it, Hamilton handed you a paper bag with a bottle of water, and apple, and a small granola bar. There was no coffee or orange juice available. I thought it was such a nice gesture to receive a call the day before my arrival asking me to confirm my stay & if I had special requests. I did request for a late arrival, which was noted & I had no problems checking in. However I also requested for a late check out, which was not granted so we checked out before 11 am even if our flight was late afternoon. The problem is the hotel didn't have a safe, designated room to store our luggage. Our luggage was placed outside the front desk in plain public view together with some boxes of supplies. Regarding the breakfast, it would have been nice to have a hot egg/ham sandwich in addition to the apple, granola & water. We understand that the to-go breakfast is due to the pandemic.
