The to go breakfast is extremely week since we were missing the free buffet and the coupons weren’t that great either. It’s time to reopen your breakfast! The front staff were helpful other then a bad review of the rusted spoke, they kept pushing the Dixie place and talking down the rusted spoke. I tried both and rusted spoke was better by far. In looking over the rooms the had available the one I chose was perfect with a balcony facing the lake and a huge Jacuzzi in the room. The room ended up being "roomy", clean, fresh and all the extras like Wi-Fi..cable tv..refrigerator..microwave..coffee maker. The morning breakfast was a bottle of water an apple and a granola bar. Seemed like more of a survival kit than a breakfast. Might want to work on that. While we were not disappointed at all because we were only charged with the queen room we thought it might be negligence by the front desk on night paying attention and not just a free upgrade. The room had a terrible smell with lots of stains on the sheets. The light in the shower didn’t work. They had to replace a lamp and when they picked it up the dust was so thick I had thick dust on my hand when I wipe it across the night stand. My husband is tall and he said the top off the wardrobe was thick with dust so he wiped it down. The chairs on the patio where so dirty I went down and got a rag so I could wipe them down so we could sit out there. The lighting was dim which made the room feel stuffy. The suite had two refrigerators but did not have a microwave. 2nd shift staff were helpful but not necessarily welcoming. You could tell they were just there for their check. The pool was nice but the water was “thick”. The laundry room was a plus. Not extremely pleased with front desk when we first arrived. When people travel and have no idea what to expect, answers are helpful. Did not get information regarding ferry and other activities in the area. After the fact found about discounts, etc. Otherwise, clean and comfortable. Quiet. No challenges in that area. The grab and go breakfast left something to be desired. One of the reasons we chose the Hamilton was because of the breakfast buffet advertised. We do understand because of the pandemic things changed. However, if that was part of the package price there could be a little more sustenance in the breakfast. A yogurt, a different fruit than an apple every day. Different choices of breakfast bars.
