We felt that the beach area could be cleaned up a bit, which would be easy to do. The whirlpool looked dirty so we didnt use it. The workout room lacked as well. We definitely would stay again but wouldnt choose a ground floor suite. The people above us were often feeding the seagulls which caused an obnoxious screeching in front of our balcony. Maybe there should be a sign asking guests not to feed the birds??? It was quite annoying. Price point of the room was great!!These comments are from a verified stay

The rooms were decently cleaned. However we stayed in a room on the lake and people were out on the beach all night being very loud. Right on the beach and well located to walk around Mackinaw City. Short walking distance to the Starline Ferry dock so you do not have to pay to park your vehicle when you take ferry to Mackinac Island. Older furnishings but very comfortable with local art work. The front desk staff were friendly. The room was fairly clean, but there were a few cobwebs and squished spiders on the walls. There was also a pair of socks under a chair on the floor when we got there that someone else must have lost. Our balcony was dirty because of the seagulls and spiders. We brought our own cleaning wipes and wiped it all down. Lots of large spiders and cobwebs, some of which came in the room. The one thing I noticed was the windows on the front of the building needed cleaning. They were filthy. Overall though the hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I believe this is one of the hotels that is closed for the winter, which can't help in the aging process.
