Kitchenette area was useful to be able to make snacks. Rooms were clean. Did you find this helpful?|The sandy beach was literally steps from our door with a bridge view. There are bonfire pits on the beach.The room was very clean and spacious. The free hot breakfast was great and well stocked. All rooms there are lake view and are 2 rooms in 1. One is separated from the other room by the bathroom. Wifi is not strong enough for a hotel with multiple people streaming etc. Buy tickets for anything at the desk to save a little. We stayed at a different hotel than Mackinaw Beach and Bay once and regretted it doing that. Unfortunately the older gentleman at the front desk (maybe the owner) isn't very nice, he makes it seems like you're a hindrance. It has been like that each year. I have always been very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. The room is always very clean and reasonably priced. In addition, the friendliness, helpfulness, and accommodating nature of the entire staff has always been exemplary. When I visit Mackinaw City, I always think of the Mackinaw Beach & Bay and will continue to do so in the years to come! We keep coming back because the rooms are spacious and always very clean, the housekeeping personnel are pleasant and the people at the front desk are always helpful and friendly. Although the free breakfast is the typical fare, it would be appreciated if fresh fruit and yogurt were also available. Our stay was extended due to an unexpected illness. She was not cleared to travel until a day later. The suite was spacious with a gorgeous view of the water and beach. My daughter enjoyed the pool very much, although the hot tub was dirty and full of sand. Someone did come to clean it one time while we were swimming though. Staff was polite and responsive. The breakfast left much to be desired in terms of quality, but pretty typical for a free hot hotel breakfast.
