Parking is hard to find if you come in later in the evening. The room was nice but the second bed could not really see the tv. Maybe mount the tv on the wall with a swivel to aim towards the other bed. Super 8 Beachfront MotelSuper 8 Beachfront Pepper from Lake Orion stayed in July 2023We were happy with our stay and would go back in the future. The front desk staff was very pleasant. They helped us with our waivers to use the water park at the hotel down the street. We also paid for court side but we had a lake view, which was such a pleasant surprise for me and the kids. The carpet didnt look the cleanest but I had kids tracking sand in from the beach within the first hour of being there, so it wasnt a big deal to me. The location is great. We were able to walk to the ferry and water park in one direction, and Starbucks and the shops in the other. The room had a refrigerator and a good size TV. The AC was struggling to keep the room cold but it worked fine enough for us. If you like your hotel fancy, then go somewhere else. Super 8 Beachfront MotelSuper 8 Beachfront Penelope from Kalamazoo stayed in September 2021My adult granddaughter and I felt like summer had flown by without us getting a proper vacation "up North". We booked a long weekend of travel, starting at Mackinaw City and progressing to the UP. Arriving late on a Thursday, we found no parking spaces available in the lot and had to park behind our unit. Other than that, the unit was as requested. It was clean and adequately furnished, though not luxurious. The desk staff called us twice while traveling to confirm our arrival time, telling us "the desk closes at 11pm". The "grab and go" breakfast left something to be desired. An apple, a wrapped muffin, plus a bottle of water was somewhat reluctantly provided upon my request. The service was good, all 3 times we went to the front desk the staff answered our questions/helped. The room wasn’t what I expected. It was pretty outdated and the beds weren’t super comfortable.
