Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.
An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control flat screen televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

I can't even remember how many times I've stayed there in the past, with my Mom and my niece when she was younger. We'd stay there every year over July 4th and would watch the fireworks display from our balcony. You have a great view of the island on a clear day. Rooms in building we were in are in great need of TLC. Bathroom counter old and hair dryer falling off the wall, ceiling tile in poor shape. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the blonde lady who helps with breakfast. We were able to use the fire pits and the pool without them being totally mobbed. The hotel was very accommodating with a beautiful view. We truly enjoyed the deck/balcony overlooking the water. Our only issues were with bed mattresses that were very old and broken down such that you nearly fell out of bed if to closes to one side and a bathtub drain that did not drain efficiently, leaving you in ankle deep water while showering.
