The kids had a great time in the pool area. Being one mile from main street was not a hinderance for us for we are used to walking a lot but I could see that being a draw back for some. The only negative experience was guests feeding the seagulls off the balcony and smoking as the seagulls forced us back indoors and the smoke was coming into our room, had to close the patio door. I made reservations about a month in advance.The staff was most accommodating and very friendly. Our room was beautiful,the beds were extremely comfortable with many pillows! The view of the Mackinac Bridge was spectacular. For basically $75 for one night and that was including the 3 FREE water-park passes to a really cool and fun water-park (we all enjoyed it!)The Bridge Vista Beach Hotel cannot be beat. We had a beautiful room, the bathroom was clean and fully stocked, and the continental breakfast provided more than enough food. I would have chosen outstanding, but my only complaint would be the lack of vending options. We arrived to our late, so we didn't have an opportunity to grab many snacks before getting to Bridge Vista. I was disappointed to find that the some of the vending machines were either empty or had very few selections. The balcony off our room was a nice extra, overlooking Lake Huron. My only 2 'small' issues were that the bathtub was super slippery (no traction mat) and the water park had a lot of sand in the bottom under the water of the lazy river.
